This was our host...

We did all our cooking in his house on a wood stove....there was no electricity

and no bathrooms....anywhere!

We got our water from a spring on the island...it was the goats drinking hole..

It was about two foot  wide....

It was boiled and iodine was added...it was our drinking water too...

This trip came about because of a dream I had....let me share....

I was having a hard time...my marriage was in the fire and I thought if the devil is fighting me and I do nothing how much more would he fight someone that was really serving him...so I picked out someone I knew was serving God and began to pray for him....instead of focusing on my problems...

The man was Andrew Gallman from Jackson Mississippi...I had been with him on a mission to Haiti...He was a good servant....A retired Methodist minister that was working harder for the Lord than anyone I knew..

I prayed for him every night down by my bed at least an hour. After I guess about a month I had a dream about him.....now I didn't see him but about once a year...he lived 5 hours away.

The Dream...............    "The Book"

I dreamed a book was set in my lap and on the first page was an island, rocks, water and a mountian...but on the mountian was a white pavillion. In the corner of the page was a photo of  Bro. Andy.

I heard a voice say "Turn the Page" on the next page was angels going up a mountian with musical instruments and they were exceedingly happy...

I heard a voice say "Turn the Page" The next page Bro. Andy was laying on his side..I noticed he had a worried look on his face...I heard a voice say "He's troubled about something and he can't sleep."  I heard the voice say.."Turn the page."

The book pick up and went off at a distance...on the left of the book it was black and horriable looking...on the right was white and glowing and gave you a wonderful feeling...then Bro Andy walked in my view with the book in the distance....he would walk to the ugly page and hold his stomach and moan...then he would walk to the good page and he was fine...after several times of this...I asked.."What is wrong with him?" The voice told me "When he's in my presence and doing my will his stomach is fine...but when he's out of my will his stomach hurts him really bad....

I knew had to tell him and I was horrified..I had never done this before...I told him about the dream that night...when I got to the last part..."This is what you call a saint" he said "A What?" and I told him again and he said "oh" and turn around and walked off...The devil yelled "Fool." I walked away.

Borther Andy...called me about 6 months later and asked me to go on another mission trip with him...to Santiago Chili...on Chiwapee island...

On the island I saw the mountian I saw in the book..I told the devil where to go..

On the plane home I told Bro. Andy's son that I had dreamed the whole trip...he said "I know, dad was praying about the trip and had mad up his mind not to go when you told him the dream. He knew he had to go..."

This was Bro. Andy's last trip he died not long after this trip....but to have God call you a saint to your face before you died must have been awesome...He couldn't go out on the islands because he was too old..he was in his 80. He stayed inland...and preached while were were on the islands....

I learned a lot through that time...

1.Never focus on your self in your problems...something bigger might be at stake...and you might miss the adventure of a life time.

2.When we pray expect God to use you.

3.The devil is a liar and God gets the last laugh.

4.When your used by God...expect the devil to come after you in a big way. I got a divorce after this trip with a marriage ending after 17 years...my husband wanted to live a little...I guess the trip wasn't his kinda of living...or maybe I wasn't the one he wanted to live it with...

5.Just because your used by God in a mighty way....doesn't mean you won't fall head over heal in sin.

6.The Last but not least....God Loves Me...

     a. if I deny him by my actions he still loves me

             b. if I doubt him by some else's actions he still loves me......
